Tyler Doucet

urban forest resilience, participatory governance, municipal forest management

Tyler is a Master of Environmental Studies student under the supervision of Dr. Peter Duinker at Dalhousie University. Previously, Tyler completed his Bachelor of Urban Forestry at the University of British Columbia where he contributed to the development of the BUF Research Nexus as the former Nexus Program Coordinator. 

At Dalhousie University, Tyler is working on research projects that meet at the intersection of his academic interests; urban forest resilience, municipal forest management and environmental governance. His thesis research explores participation in urban forest governance and the contributions that NGOs' make in municipal forest processes, programs and decision-making.

When he is not working, Tyler enjoys cycling around the city, hiking, indoor rock climbing, surfing, reading fiction, and exploring local coffee shops.
