Laura is an MSc student studying urban canopy loss as a result of construction. She holds a BSc in forest health and double minors in urban forestry and environmental writing & rhetoric from the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry located in Syracuse, New York. Laura’s work experience focuses on arboriculture and implementation of water quality best management practices (BMP). She holds an arborist certification from the International Society of Arboriculture, as well as, several certifications focusing on water quality BMP verification.

Outside of work Laura enjoys exploring arboreta, taking pictures of plants & graffiti, and consuming way too much true crime media.
